A vertical live-action mockumentary trailer: the dead staff of St. Mordred's
(the game's bosses) each tell a different origin story, and the film ends on
"Quiet, please." / "Play." / splat. tools/trailer/ holds the whole pipeline:
stills and takes through the OpenRouter key (gen.py, stills.sh, clips.sh),
the frame graphics in HTML/CSS (frame.html), a QA listener (qa.py), the
music sectioner (segment.py) and the edit (cut.py). Media lands in the
gitignored promo/trailer/. SCRIPT.md is the screenplay and the cut notes.

The prototype ships a copy of thirty repo assets and the zip is a second copy
again — a megabyte of duplicate art in the history for a document whose
decisions now live in PROJECT.md and in the code. The folder is ignored, not
deleted: it is still there to read.

A Capacitor iOS project (`npm run ios`), and the first three bullets of LATER item 2 built. The web
build is untouched and stays primary: every line here degrades to a no-op in a browser.
- HAPTICS ride the sound map, as the plan said they would: six call sites, all of them places an
sfx already fires — your racket contact, the serve strike, `killZombie` (the one funnel every
weapon routes through), `explode`, `hurtPlayer`, `killPlayer`, the weapon swap. The restraint
rule lives in `haptics.js`, not at the call sites: a minimum gap per kind, so a bomb that kills
twelve bodies is felt twice and the machine gun is a metronome rather than one long rumble.
Pinned by a test. Untested on hardware — the simulator has no Taptic Engine.
- The plugin is reached through the INJECTED bridge, `Capacitor.nativePromise('Haptics', ...)`.
`Capacitor.Plugins.Haptics` reads like the zero-dependency answer and is silently empty without
@capacitor/core's registerPlugin — it would have fallen through to the web path inside the app
and looked exactly like a phone with haptics switched off. No package JS ships.
- PORTRAIT is enforced where it can be: one orientation in Info.plist, so the app never rotates.
That retires landscape as a surface rather than fixing it (OPEN 6). The web half is best-effort —
`orientation` in both manifests and one guarded `screen.orientation.lock()`.
- SWIPE LEFT GOES BACK. The gesture finds the screen's one visible chevron and clicks it, so the
shape of the wizard stays in the handlers that already own it. Not passive on purpose: a swipe
inside a poster card also fires that card's click, and preventDefault is what stops the screen
answering forward in the frame the chevron walked it back.
- The app has no server behind it, so `config.API` and one branch in `net.js` point the shell at the
live host by name. Consequence: the app always talks to PROD, never staging.
`node test.js` green (105) over four seeds; builds, launches and reaches the native plugin on the
iOS 26.5 simulator; swipe-back walks the whole wizard in the browser pane.

`python3 tools/capture.py` fills promo/clips/ with 1080x1920 h264/aac takes of
the moments the campaign plan (item 4) already named — transition, horde,
flamer, mopboy, death on the gore side, boss and match on the zombie-tennis
side. capture.py serves the repo with tools/clips.js injected, opens a
throwaway-profile Chrome and converts each POSTed webm with ffmpeg; clips.js
stages every scene through the real doors on window.T and drives it with the
reachability soak's own mediocre autopilot. Nothing is faked for the camera.
The game gains four names on window.T (start, intoSplatter, startHorde,
sendBoy) and nothing else: the frame is pinned by the canvas box rather than
the window, RES 4 comes from lowPower 0 plus device-scale-factor 3, and the
audio is tapped by making BaseAudioContext's `destination` a gain node — so
audio.js needs no master bus for a tool that ships to nobody. tools/ and
promo/clips/ are ignored by git and docker alike.

Nine sheets meant nine chances for the character to drift, and all day it took
every one of them — a brute that was three different brutes, a corpse that came
back a living man. Asking for the WHOLE family in one image removes that by
construction: one roll, one light, one palette, 31 figures.
What was missing was the way back down. _fine.py cuts a single row; a family
sheet is nine. _zsheet.py is that step and nothing else — it reuses _fine's
keyer, block detection and column cutter, and adds the two things that have to
be GLOBAL or the family breaks:
SCALE taken once from the play row's standing frame. Per-band scaling would
make the serve strike the same height as the idle stance, and the game
sizes a sprite off its own PNG height. Measured after: serve 319,
prone fall 83 — the racket family's are 307 and 85.
PALETTE taken once from the largest figure anywhere, so a wound row cannot
quantise onto slightly different colours than the row above it.
The enclosed magenta rule is INVERTED here, deliberately. _fine.py repaints
magenta trapped inside a figure because the generator used to fill string beds
with the backdrop colour by accident. This sheet asks for exactly that and gets
it, so the bed cuts to transparency and the racket is an open hoop.
_regen.py keeps three fixes found on the way: margins as a PROPORTION (an
absolute pixel margin means nothing to a model that picks its own resolution —
it clipped 3 rolls in 4), reference sheets that fill keyed-out string beds
instead of showing the model a magenta racket, and --verify, which asks the
question no gate here ever asked: is the art already on disk what it claims to
be. It found 27 of the brute's 31 frames dead — z_brw1fall was one drawing
pasted four times, 0.011 apart where a real sequence is 0.53.
The brute is live: ZFAMS gains 'br', the KEEPER wears it. Verified in #bench,
healthy and arm-off, 54 tests green.

Ranked on KILLS IN A SINGLE RUN. Games survived is the same information at a
tenth the resolution — most players land between 5 and 20, so that board is a
wall of ties broken by who got there first. Games ride along as the tiebreak
and as a column.
The image is python:3.12-alpine running server.py now, not nginx. The board
needs one process that can write, and everything the nginx conf did here — the
no-cache headers and the manifest MIME type — is a few lines of stdlib. /data
must be a persistent volume or every deploy resets the ladder to empty.
A name belongs to whoever took it first: the client mints a random id once and
the row remembers it, so a stranger cannot overwrite your score. The id never
leaves the server. That is the whole security model and it is enough.
The prompt to sign the board appears on exactly one occasion — a run that beat
your own best kill count, on the tap that leaves the death screen.
